INTRODUCTION

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

It is an absolute best-sounding truly wireless earbuds. It is the successor to the Sennheiser momentum true wireless earbuds version. The codec support here is good and supportive now. The case itself has slightly smaller dimensions. A little button on the case allows doing the reset. The USBC and the LED are gonna tell the battery level. They don’t fall out easily or do not shift at all and are very comfortable. The sound signature is great. Bass is great and is well suited for every genre of music.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

These are an impressive pair of earbuds. The previous model Jabra elite 75 T’s has quite a similar name but without active which is self-explanatory with what the objective difference is between these two. So obviously the active here is meant for working out or meant for running or doing a more active lifestyle. These are held magnetically in the case so they never come out. They use GPS but they don’t have the chirping sound seen on some other earbuds out there. So if the earbuds are lost within the GPS range of where you last connected to them, the phone will kind of essentially drop a pin and it’s good for knowing where the earbuds were left. They are waterproof and sweatproof.

FEATURES

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

The highlight is that these support blue 25.1 which means there is gonna be no issues when it comes to synchronization of audio and video either watching Netflix, Hulu, Amazon streaming, or any kind of streaming whatsoever. Each earbud has a single mic and also has active noise canceling in each one. This one is slightly smaller compared to the previous version and the way or the angle in which it connects into the ear has also changed. Bluetooth 5.1 is really good but unfortunately, they do not support multi connect. The application has had several improvements. Settings can be modified. So with a single tap active noise-canceling and transparency mode is turned on.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

The shape and the size of the case are just right and can stand it up on a table and open it up. The charge is on the back of the case. This has a lot a magnetic closure on the lid. The earbuds come in three different colors. There’s a navy blue one, there is a titanium black one and then there is the copper black. These connect with Bluetooth 5.0 and have a master/slave bud connection which means that the phone connects to the right earbud and then the left earbud connects to the right earbud which unfortunately means that one cannot listen to just the left earbud. This is one small drawback but when working with these it is most likely to be used as two earbuds in at the same time looking at the earbuds themselves.

SOUND

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

Sennheiser provides one of the best sounding earbuds on the market. Active noise canceling is good, not great and the transparency mode in this is not as good and not loud as the other brands. Passive noise canceling is not as good as the Jabra lead 75 T’s. The equalizer can be adjusted depending on how one would like to hear things and can also create some settings. The sound signature has depth and great sound stage elements that are crisp and clean. Basements and highs are present and don’t have them competing with each other.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

They have six-millimeter speakers onboard and one obvious thing about these speakers is that they have an insane level of bass. Even when it is turned down, turn the EQ so the bass is minimized but still has a lot of bass on there. The mid-range is present. It does not have the same clarity as to the Sennheiser’s but it definitely sounds good and then the trebles are slightly less prominent as the mids and the bass. Best for passive noise canceling. The equalizer can be adjusted. There are six presets and more can be added. These can be worn easily for four or five hours at a time without having to take them out.

DESIGN

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

The case in which the earbuds come is quite small with a button to reset. The case also has USBC and LED to detect the battery levels. It has no issues with case draining. The earbud itself is smaller and is a better fit when compared to the previous one. The angle in which it connects into the interior of the ear has also changed and fits comfortably. Earbuds are magnetic and cannot be easily pulled out of the case. They don’t fall out easily with shaking of the head.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

The earbuds have a magnetic closure. It’s a pretty nice magnet where it closes in a click shut and doesn’t ever come open. It’s not too hard to open with a single hand so definitely good designing of this case. They are polycarbonate cases and are coated with a kind of a soft or rubbery feel which is probably silicone paint or coating on them that should improve the water-resistance. On the front of the case, it has that nice color on the logo. Another Pro is the mechanical buttons on here ties back in with the mechanical design which is just an excellent design from the jobbers part.

BATTERY

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

The battery life has improved since the previous version. Now it is claiming seven hours of battery life and when charged for 10 minutes, nearly one and a half hours of usage is possible. When tested these earbuds hit maybe around four and a half hours with active noise-canceling on and disabling active noise-canceling it hits just a little bit over six hours so not quite the 7-hour claim but still an improvement. No issues with the case draining. This case does not have is the ability to wireless charge.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

These have a seven and a half hour battery in the earbuds themselves and then 28 hours with the case included which is very impressive and when the charging times are slightly less impressive. Unfortunately, this cannot be charged wirelessly. It doesn’t have Qi wireless charging but can be charged on the back with a USB type-c port which is next to the LED indicator light. 15 minutes of charging gets around one hour of listening which is pretty good. It’s not the best fast charging out there but it is nice to have that. Then for the entire 0 to 100% charging, it should take somewhere on the order of two and a half hours to charge these which is not impressive but considering that it’s a pretty large battery in these it makes sense that it’s gonna take a little bit of time.

CONCLUSION

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2

They are well designed. Earbuds are magnetic. Active noise canceling is good. Great soundstage elements. Seven hours of battery life. It costs $300 for a pair of earbuds. $300 is just too much money for the level of audio quality received. No issues with battery and case draining. It’s disappointing that they do not support individual use and also the fact that these do not have wireless charging. These are not wirelessly enabled to be able to sit this on a Qi wireless charger.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

The pricing is under 200 pounds and there’s quite a lot of features in these that are similar to Apple AirPods but that pricing is nice. Battery life is solid. It is kind of sporty truly wireless earbuds, specifically for running these are a great pick. It has an ip57 waterproof rating what this means is these are waterproof and sweatproof but they’re not very useful in a swimming pool but copes well with wet runs, rainy runs, and sweaty runs. The base is seismic with long-lasting battery life.
