Expert Review

ThinkPad T590

If you’re not working mainly with an external screen and would like to enjoy the best possible image quality, you should definitely resort to the upgrade. Apart from the minimally grainy image on white surfaces, we can hardly criticize anything about the screen. However, why Lenovo doesn’t provide a profile for working in the smaller sRGB color space still remains a mystery.

Lenovo ThinkPad T590 has an IPS panel with a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles and good contrast ratio. Its backlight doesn’t flicker, however, the panel has a very narrow color coverage and not too high maximum brightness.

ThinkPad E590

On the whole, the ThinkPad E590 iGPU model is recommended as a comparably affordable office laptop – though its size and weight as well as bad battery life qualify the E590 more for the home-office than a more mobile usage. Also, buyers should be on the lookout when it comes to the SSD, as we would not recommend the Toshiba SSD Lenovo used in our review device. Unfortunately, in this case the user has to play the lottery in regard to the parts that are installed.

With the ThinkPad E590 Lenovo has delivered a potent professional laptop, but it is not without its weak points.
